Baywatch

Description : This reduction linocut print was inspired by my whippet dog at our bay beach. Always looking for action my dog was unaware the birds were looking at him! This is an original limited edition print with an edition of 8. Printed on 100% archival paper with oil-based inks. Hand-cared and printed in my studio in Mornington, Victoria. This print took approximately 6-8 weeks to complete and has 16 colours.

Gwen Scott lives in Melbourne, Australia and works from her home studio producing original colour and black & white limited edition prints. Gwen works full-time as a printmaker and specialises in reduction linocuts.  All her prints are hand cut and hand pulled by her and the finest 100% cotton rag paper, oil-based inks and quality linoleum are used.
Gwen's iconography stems from her interests in classical mythology, the human form, animals, human lifecycle, surrealism, gardens & landscapes and the every-day. 
Gwen has held numerous solo exhibitions and regularly participates in group shows, print exchanges and competitions and has won awards for her reduction linocut prints. Her work is held in many public and private collections around Australia.
