Autumn Light

Description : Inspired by my backyard lemon tree, my whippet dog, the female form and beautiful autumn colours this reduction linocut print has up to 12 colours and took 6 weeks to complete. An original limited edition print of 12. Printed on 100% archival paper with oil-based inks. Hand-carved and printed in my home studio in Mornington, Victoria.

Gwen Scott lives in Melbourne, Australia and works from her home studio producing original colour and black & white limited edition prints. Gwen works full-time as a printmaker and specialises in reduction linocuts.  All her prints are hand cut and hand pulled by her and the finest 100% cotton rag paper, oil-based inks and quality linoleum are used.
Gwen's iconography stems from her interests in classical mythology, the human form, animals, human lifecycle, surrealism, gardens & landscapes and the every-day. 
Gwen has held numerous solo exhibitions and regularly participates in group shows, print exchanges and competitions and has won awards for her reduction linocut prints. Her work is held in many public and private collections around Australia.
