 Artist’s Statement:

Transforming my inner visions onto canvas has been a passion since childhood. ¨ Painting fills me with a sense of contentment, as it affords me the opportunity of simplifying the complex world we live in.

In pairing back all superfluous detail of my subject, I discover a bare essence that is humbling.  It allows me to escape the visual noise and constant distractions of the fast paced digital world we live in.

Nature is an endless source of inspiration to me.  I think art must be original, CREATIVE, and expressive. In our times, the availability of digital cameras, has allowed much photography to record our lives and environment. This photography relieves artists of this demand of reality and exactness and encourages artists instead to be interpretive-: to look beyond the surface and discover what lies within...
