Painting is both a passion and a challenge for me.
I’m not the type of artist who is content with producing endless adaptations of similar images.
Each of my paintings seeks a different form of dialogue with you. In my Satire and Cynicism paintings, I endeavour to give voice to important issues. (For me, at least!)
Other times, the brush strokes become more of an invitation as I try to tempt you into the beauty which surrounds us (but which we often miss because we’re just too preoccupied.)
In my Landscapes paintings, that beauty originates from my travels in Australia and Asia; both continents replete with endless skies, rugged coastlines and tropical beaches.
And then in complete contrast there are the Studies of People. Those started off with images which pulled the legs of certain friends, but then expanded into humans in unique situations. (We really are fascinating creatures!)
I won’t ramble on. I just want to say that through my art I hope to share a connection that invites you to pause, reflect, and feel.

Many thanks for a wonderful Art Show. My wife and I attended on Saturday afternoon and were most impressed.
Not only were the entries outstanding, the layout and the lighting indicated that much thought had been put into the presentation.
No doubt much work had been done behind the scenes to make it such a success.

Have been with gallery247 for 6 years, both free and now paid. Wonderful on line platform for artists which has made my work easy to find and i don't need to worry about setting up my own website; they even forwarded a message from a community college i volunteered for a few years ago, for an art tutor.
