Art has always been more than a practice for me—it is a sanctuary, a language, and a way to reclaim my voice. As a neurodivergent artist who has experienced significant trauma, I discovered painting eight years ago as a safe space where I could express what words could not. My creative process is deeply intuitive, sparked by feelings and visuals that move through me. I choose my color palette based on my mood, letting each piece evolve organically rather than forcing it into being.
Recurring motifs—like the moon, trees, and all things shiny or sparkly—reflect the subjects I am drawn to and the sense of wonder I find in the world. These elements are not just aesthetic choices; they are symbols of hope, resilience, and the beauty I seek amid life’s challenges.
Experimentation is at the heart of my practice. The more I explore, the more possibilities I see, and creativity flows naturally when I allow myself to be present in the moment. I know a piece is finished when I am visually satisfied, though emotionally, I always feel the urge to take it further—an echo of my ongoing journey of healing and growth.
Time is my greatest challenge; there is never enough of it to capture all I want to express. Yet, I am continually inspired by life itself and an overwhelming desire to connect with others. Through my art, I hope to create spaces for reflection, conversation, and connection—inviting viewers to find their own meaning and sense of belonging.

Have been with gallery247 for 6 years, both free and now paid. Wonderful on line platform for artists which has made my work easy to find and i don't need to worry about setting up my own website; they even forwarded a message from a community college i volunteered for a few years ago, for an art tutor.
