Susan lives in Melbourne on the gateway to the Mornington Peninsula and has sold through exhibitions and commissions in the CBD Melbourne, throughout Victoria and also displayed in Europe. Susan was the artist in residence for Art Sans Frontiers. She has travelled extensively internationally and in Australia, drawing inspiration from different cultures and experiences. She works in acrylic, charcoal, oils, chalk and pencil.

Travelling in England, visiting the Tate Gallery and others, through Greece marvelling at the statues at the Acropylis, to Paris and the statues in the Louvre, the Musee d'Orsay and the Musee de Cluny excited me so much to try to capture these magnificent pieces onto a flat surface. I love the forms and beauty of the drapery. This inspired me to do a series of pen and ink washes of greek statues.

Monet's garden in Giverny has been another burst of colour and nature calling to be explored with a brush.

Driving through the Australian outback, seeing the vast expanse where everything changes. Take the time to look and instead of nothing, you will find stunning surprises in unexpected places.

Another series are of African women and children, to attempt to capture the resilience and courage of women, children and men surviving through times of war and conflict, with dignity and strength. The love of a mother to her child, a family reunited, a boy taking a rest while carrying a heavy water container back to his family, a lady on a train resting and just being. I bring their stories to the viewer.
