Autumn Flutter

Description : I participated in the Spirit of Leaves Eucalyptus workshop held by Art of Flow in partnership with Eucalypt Australia who support the conversation, education and research of the iconic Australian eucalypt (gum) tree. This year we were encouraged to add a bird to our creations as a reminder that eucalypt trees are essential to native birds, providing nectar, seeds and shelter. Participating creatively along with 100's of others from within Australia, along with many others from all around the world, is a unique experience. Selecting a few eucalypt twigs with unusual leaves for inspiration I created the foliage over one of my freshly created intuitive bases. My layers of colour, markings and texture was complete with the addition of a bird suspended in the air ready to capture a insect in flight. Autumn Flutter finished off with a touch of fixative spray and varnish for protection. Initialled in the bottom lefthand corner. Requires framing to hang. My artwork images include examples of how Autumn Flutter could look framed and displayed but please check artwork dimensions as in situ examples are for display purposes only and may not be to scale. Rosemary’s artistic journey is a delightful adventure that showcases the power of creativity. From a young age, she found joy in artistic pursuits, but it wasn’t until her retirement, amid the quiet of countless covid lockdowns, that she truly reconnected with her passion for art.
