Description : 2014 Oil and 23 carat gold leaf. Location is at the artist studio; Daylesford Victoria Australia. An ancient Celtic myth, the maidens were spirits living in a well and were our connection to mother Earth. A King and his men raped them and stole their gold, breaking humans connection with the Earth and sending the land into drought and hunger.
