Artist Bio - Penny SpencerAn emerging amateur artist, reinvigorating a passion for drawing and painting. I am exploring watercolour and acrylic as a new and evolving medium. My work focuses on capturing the quieter, often overlooked details within larger scenes—drawing the viewer into intimate moments of texture, light, and form. Inspired by nature, I am particularly drawn to botanical themes, where subtle variations in colour and structure tell their own story. Through delicate brushwork and layered washes, I aim to evoke a sense of calm curiosity, encouraging the audience to pause and notice the beauty in small, intricate elements that might otherwise go unseen. Many thanks for a wonderful Art Show. My wife and I attended on Saturday afternoon and were most impressed.
Not only were the entries outstanding, the layout and the lighting indicated that much thought had been put into the presentation.
No doubt much work had been done behind the scenes to make it such a success.

Have been with gallery247 for 6 years, both free and now paid. Wonderful on line platform for artists which has made my work easy to find and i don't need to worry about setting up my own website; they even forwarded a message from a community college i volunteered for a few years ago, for an art tutor.
