Nichola Roberts

I am an instinctive artist ,drawing inspiration from my surroundings,and my coastal retreat in Apollo Bay along The Great Ocean Road. My art captures the awe inspiring beauty of daily sunrises and sunsets,the vibrant colours of theocean.  I am self taught and paint spontaneously each time I pick up a brush and paint . 
I love to layer textures and colours , each painting emerges eventually from the layers to show itself. Painting is so therapeutic and liberating ,I feel we gain a little bit of escapism when you find a painting you love .I am inspired by my surroundings and coastal retreat in Apollo Bay.
As I am also a Reiki Master each canvas absorbs healing energy as I paint .I listen to beautiful calming music when I work , I find this inspires me and helps with creativity.
Each artwork takes me on a unique journey, I hope you find as much joy in my creations as I do in crafting them.

Have been with gallery247 for 6 years, both free and now paid. Wonderful on line platform for artists which has made my work easy to find and i don't need to worry about setting up my own website; they even forwarded a message from a community college i volunteered for a few years ago, for an art tutor.
