Artist Bio - Markus HaeringI am a retired geologist who has worked and lived on four continents. In 2023 my wife and I moved from Switzerland to South Australia. I have started teaching myself to paint about 15 years ago. My mother was an artist in Switzerland who made a name for herself with oil paintings, mosaics, clay figures and artistic weaving. I never believed I had her talent and only ventured into painting out of curiosity. For me, painting with water-soluble oils and acrylics is a relaxing hobby. In my view, a painting should both capture the viewer's attention and be a decorative element. |

Many thanks for a wonderful Art Show. My wife and I attended on Saturday afternoon and were most impressed.
Not only were the entries outstanding, the layout and the lighting indicated that much thought had been put into the presentation.
No doubt much work had been done behind the scenes to make it such a success.
