Artist Bio - Marjorie KayMy background as an artist has been inspired by nature, wildlife and the beauty of my surroundings. I have experimented with various mediums, water colours, Acrylics, Oils, Gouache and Alcohol inks with a passion to reproduce and share these feelings through my art. I am self taught and since being retired I have time to indulge my creative side. My paintings range in size from miniature to large and encompass landscapes, seascapes animals and birds and illustrating my books. After experiencing first hand the devastation of the Green Wattle Creek Fire I was inspired to write about it and I have published my first book, I Know A Safe Place Summer 2019/2020 which I also illustrated, telling the story through the eyes of the horse and his many friends on our property. I have also written and illustrated Something about Bees and a series of little books Tales from the bush Australia 1 and 2, so far. I have a website as follows, https://art-by-marjorie-kay.square.site Facebook: Art by Marjorie Kay Instagram: at1withart I have enjoyed creating and love sharing my work with others. I have produced many cards and prints from my artwork. I am at the Colo Vale Markets NSW, the first Saturday of the month (excluding January) if you would like to say Hi. |

Have been with gallery247 for 6 years, both free and now paid. Wonderful on line platform for artists which has made my work easy to find and i don't need to worry about setting up my own website; they even forwarded a message from a community college i volunteered for a few years ago, for an art tutor.

I have recently become a member of Gallery 247 as an artist, and am so impressed. Communication was quick and very personable. The website seems very user friendly. With the couple of questions I emailed I was looked after with a phone call and very kindly and professionally looked after. Highly recommend.
