Artist Bio - Margaret GreenawayIn February 2011 I joined a beginner’s drawing class at Peninsula Art Society with Jacqueline Long. This was offered to me from the Carer Respite Program. I enjoyed this so much that I thought perhaps I could have a go at painting! I commenced painting with Glen Hoyle in oil paints and was certainly challenged with realism subjects. I have subsequently embraced painting abstracts and semi-abstracts, working with acrylic paints & my new obsession more recently, resin. I enjoy painting with my “art family” led capably by Carole Foster at McClelland Guild of Artists. I attend demonstration days through my membership with McClelland Guild of Artists, learning from all the different artists in our community. Attending classes and painting in my studio has given me a different impression of my surrounds and added colour to my life with people and paint! Many thanks for a wonderful Art Show. My wife and I attended on Saturday afternoon and were most impressed.
Not only were the entries outstanding, the layout and the lighting indicated that much thought had been put into the presentation.
No doubt much work had been done behind the scenes to make it such a success.
