Maree McCrum is a mixed media artist based in NSW, whose bold, expressive works dance between abstraction and memory. Her work is collected in Australia and Internationally. Maree's canvases are joyful celebrations of life, marked by vivid colour, dynamic mark-making and rich layers of meaning. Keep looking and you will find hidden surprises in her work. Using acrylics, pencil, inks and textiles, Maree's signature style is instantly recognisable: bold colours and compositions that hum with movement and warmth. All while primarily using three colours plus white, offering a peacful escape.
Maree is inspired by trips in Australia and holidays overseas and ofcourse people's feelings. In 2025, she showcased her work at the Affordable Art Fair in Sydney, successfully sharing her vibrant pieces to an even wider audience. Not only were the entries outstanding, the layout and the lighting indicated that much thought had been put into the presentation.
No doubt much work had been done behind the scenes to make it such a success.

Have been with gallery247 for 6 years, both free and now paid. Wonderful on line platform for artists which has made my work easy to find and i don't need to worry about setting up my own website; they even forwarded a message from a community college i volunteered for a few years ago, for an art tutor.
