Floating Flowers

Description : As part of the Art on the Kitchen Table Collection my inspiration was when my mum would be asked to provide flowers for a function. The vases, vessels, jugs and anything that held flowers would all sit on the kitchen table with blooms picked from her garden. It seemed there were always enough flowers. Here I have made the flowers float by, giving it an abstract feeling of movement and abundance. Using a wash and a freedom of stroke and joy. Mixed media on canvas - acrylic, graphite and ink Size: 152cm(W)x60cm(H)x5cm(D) NOT framed Comes with a wire on the back ready to hang Perfect for above a bed or lounge.

Hi, I’m an Australian Artist now living in Wagga Wagga. I grew up in a happy farming family near Burcher in red dirt remote NSW.

I often use mixed media - acrylics, charcoal, pastels and collage and get my inspiration from my personal life experiences; the Australian outback, music, love and social views. A theme in my work is uninhibited expression and loose brush strokes and my energy comes from a feeling rather than realism .

I am constantly striving to create gorgeous bright bold colour and I do enjoy the space in a large canvas. I am inspired by the early works of Ken Done and by the gorgeous earthy art of Pro Hart.
My works are found in private collections in Australia and Internationally as well as galleries in Australia.
