Born in Coburg in 1954 and currently living in Melbourne. I had always been interested in art but did not really start to paint until in my mid 20's. As an artist my focus tended towards landscape painting and portraiture, although still life and floral paintings are also an interest for me.
While not always successful, I strive to create work that creates emotion for the viewer, particularly with my portraits. I find watercolour the best medium to promote an emotional response and often will use acrylic paint as a transparent medium in my larger portrait work to gain a similar result.
Currently I work tutoring students in a range of mediums and subjects and take my students through the techniques and processes of creating rather than replicating a subject.
My most recent awards include
Boxhill Rotary Art Show Best work on paper to $1500.00
Hobsons Bay Art Show Highly commended
Whitehorse Art Show 2023 Best on Paper up to 1,500
The Knox Art Exhibition 2023 Best Painting (All Mediums) - Value $501 to $1000
The Knox Art Show 2024 Highly Commended

Many thanks for a wonderful Art Show. My wife and I attended on Saturday afternoon and were most impressed.
Not only were the entries outstanding, the layout and the lighting indicated that much thought had been put into the presentation.
No doubt much work had been done behind the scenes to make it such a success.
