Artist Bio - Kim Domjahn

Bio Originally Started 2012.

Latest Bio Update July     2024

Greetings and thank-you to everyone who has ventured here to read my little story, that I am sure will be quite short compared to many others, But be as it may, hopefully I can write something here to at least raise your curiosity enough to look at my Gallery and even perhaps leave a comment or two.. Of course kind ones would be preferred, but construtive ones as long as they are honest are always acceptable as well as helpful.

So without further to do, my name is Kim and yes, I am at time of writing and updating 68 "young" (updated July 2024 ) and my story of holding a paintbrush in my hand basically re-started about 11 years ago, when I decided possibly more out of frustration and boredom due to a long recovery from medical issues to try and get my mind, hands and coordination all working together again by picking up a paint brush for the first time since my high school art class days.

Since then, I have enjoyed experimenting once again with the medium of acrylic paints and am happy to say that even to my own surprise have sold a few. At present I am not exhibiting in any galleries or am I exhibiting on-line anywhere (that I know of) apart from Gallery247

Hopefully, you will enjoy my limitied gallery, and totally understand that they are perhaps not to everyone's taste, so be kind if you do intend to leave any comments.  Especially ones of suggestions on how to improve are most welcomed.

Stay Safe Stay Well

Regards

Kim

My Influences

Instead of leaving a blank canvas as it were here, I guess I should write something, but it won't be I am sure what most people are expecting as I do not have any great influences such as Artists with regards to my artwork.

And yes there are probably some who are reading this who would say, "that is for sure", .

But Art in itself is a very personal appreciation, feeling, acceptance, like or dislike and any other description you wish to add, so in all truth, my main influence comes from within and what I see in front of me and also what I am feeling at the moment as the paint touches the canvas and that as one colour each time either stays the same shade or mixes and blends with others already on the canvas.   Most of the time, the original idea and form that was in my thoughts is not the completed work.

So perhaps the biggest influence is the ART, the Colour and the Canvas itself.
