2020

Description : '2020' 2020. The hand sanitiser embodies our new reality in a post Covid-19 world, which is this still life’s underlying narrative. The central object of this triangular composition is a vase, representing stability and family. Into the composition and around the vase I added a can of tuna to denote the enforced grocery limits, artificial flowers try to convey a sense of disbelief, the colour orange, and a tea bag for hope and friendship respectively.

PRACTICE

Painting in and of isolated places. Growing up on the west coast of lutruwita/Tasmania in a small copper mining community, I often using copper as an expressive medium.

I also enjoy experimenting with other forms of contemporary art, including printmaking, drawing, sound, and video, believing that art can be a powerful communication tool.
