Joe Faust is a self taught Queensland painter.
Joe works in oils, alcohol based inks, cold wax, dry pigment and oil sticks on canvas and board. Joe's painting process, his choice of palette, brush strokes and gestural techniques with the palette knife adds life, movement and light to his paintings is evoked my sensations from listening to varied music genres. His emotional response to these transcendent feelings is the source from which he achieves his interpretation of the landscape.
Inspired by a group of self-taught artists, the 'Brushmen of the Bush', Joe's distinctive artistic technique has evolved into a individualistic painting style through experimentation and openness to new ideas and influences.

Instagram Many thanks for a wonderful Art Show. My wife and I attended on Saturday afternoon and were most impressed.
Not only were the entries outstanding, the layout and the lighting indicated that much thought had been put into the presentation.
No doubt much work had been done behind the scenes to make it such a success.

Have been with gallery247 for 6 years, both free and now paid. Wonderful on line platform for artists which has made my work easy to find and i don't need to worry about setting up my own website; they even forwarded a message from a community college i volunteered for a few years ago, for an art tutor.
