Jo lives in the beautiful regional NSW town of Orange. She first came to art after retiring from primary school teaching. Originally learning watercolour and especially combining her love of botany, animals and birds, it is a medium she continues to embrace. Recently, however, she has found much joy in using soft pastels for landscapes and of course her beloved birds and animals. She can't resist occasionally dabbling in oils as well. Mostly, her style would be realism, but also finds it fun to break out with some fun botanical abstracts. She finds there are simply not enough hours in the day to indulge the creative spirit.

Have been with gallery247 for 6 years, both free and now paid. Wonderful on line platform for artists which has made my work easy to find and i don't need to worry about setting up my own website; they even forwarded a message from a community college i volunteered for a few years ago, for an art tutor.
