Artist Bio - Helen Pizzano

Helen Pizzano is a Canberra based digital artist.

I create circle art from my photos of natural and urban environments: I explore amazing and unique colours and textures found all around us focusing on the beach, bush and urban environments.

I studied Asian Studies and History at UWA in Perth. After moving to Canberra and 16 years in the Public service, I took a redundancy to follow my creative passion.   Studying Visual Art at CIT and now at ANU, I enjoy sharing my perspective on the world.

Using the kaleidoscope technique, I use my photos to create digital circles using computer graphics software. These images are limited edition, printed to Giclee art paper and to 100% pure silk.

My work has been featured in various exhibitions, publications and galleries.

  • Bingi Bingi Solo Exhibition - Spiral Gallery - Bega NSW 2018
  • Resident Artist - Cre8tiv Studio and Gallery St Leonards, NSW 2017
  • Art/Edit Magazine - Winter edition 2017
  • Bingi Bingi Solo Exhibition - Strathnairn Arts Gallery - Holt ACT 2017
  • RAW Fixate Canberra 2017
