Rolling Hills - Painted Landscape Series

Description : This semi-abstract-semi-realism Australian landscape is a bright cheerful rendition of the land of this great country, with coral-coloured mountains stretching vast across the horizon. Mineral-rich earth in teal and pink and yellow yields a flowing effect while tall sparse gum trees are the perfect complement.

The sides of this painting are painted as wrap around, and it is ready to hang, with felt pads and strong picture wire.

It has been painted on high quality gallery-wrapped pure linen, using a very limited palette of colours (cad red, cobalt blue, burnt umber, lemon, yellow ochre and white).

I am a prolific artist working full time from my studio in central Victoria, with much of my art being held in private collections around Australia, as well as exhibiting in local galleries and at the Victorian Artists Society in Melbourne.

All of my paintings are packed with the greatest care. ROLLING HILLS - original oil painting on pure linen by EVE SELLARS - part of my "Painted Landscape" series which is offered at a special price, and is available for sale on Gallery 247.

Best, Eve x

I was born into a highly creative family where live music, book signings and art exhibitions seemed to be a normal part of a child’s everyday life and upbringing. It was only natural that I eventually pick up the palette knife and put pigment to canvas. Today, I live entirely off-grid in a quirky house and garden, with my hubby and two dogs, on rambling acreage of bush, dust and stone. My days are spent at my art studio among gum trees, kookaburras, wallabies, and koalas (and the odd snake!).

You will rarely see me paint a landscape in the traditional sense. Instead, I prefer to get up close and personal with my subject, study its form and colour, its character and its flaws, and translate this impression into something new: cropped, colourful, suggestive, and alive.

So please, sit back, browse through my portfolio, and maybe one of my paintings will find its new home.
