Twilight (diptych - Two Paintings)

Description : DIPTYCH (2 paintings)

My art explores the colour and form of Australian gum trees , as I attempt to capture both the frailty and the strength of these gentle giants.

Impending winter gloom couldn’t stifle the brilliance of colour radiating from the small gum tree growing outside my studio. This is one of a series of paintings and diptychs, focusing on the use of colour (in this diptych, varying values of teal, green and blue against deep purple).

Feel free to reach out with pictures of your own space and I can virtually insert the painting for you.

These paintings can be hung however you wish - the pattern of the leaves and stems flows from one canvas to the other, whether you hang them long-side (60cm W x40cm H) or short-side (30cm W x 80cm H).

You could also hang them entirely separately. It's only limited by your own sense of whimsy!!

I have attached the wire to match the first picture here - let me know if you'd like it moved (you can also decide later - all you need is a screwdriver).

The sides of each artwork has been signed in soft grey.

Like something similar in a different size or using different colours? I am really happy to discuss commission requests.
Please note, I do not produce prints or absolute replicas of my artwork. Your painting is one-of-a-kind.

My paintings are treated with the greatest care throughout their life in my studio and home, or at exhibitions where they may temporarily hang. I am extremely careful to ensure your art does not suffer scuff marks, dents or scratches; and it will be carefully wrapped in bubble-wrap and sturdy cardboard.

Hi there!  I no longer sell my artwork on Gallery247, so please feel free to search for me elsewhere.  Thanks and have a lovely day!

Born into an incredibly creative family, it was natural that life lead me here; poised; brush in hand.  I use art to express my immense – well, let's say obsessive – passion for the indigenous landscape, which is easily recognised in my vibrant colourful artworks.  Luscious layers of pigment are applied with energy and spontaneity, often switching from brush to palette knife to provide additional texture and depth to my paintings.  Lately I have introduced skin tones into my art to further broaden my skills and inspiration.

You will rarely see me paint a landscape in the traditional sense. Instead, I prefer to get up close and personal with my subject, study its form and colour, its character and its flaws, and translate this impression into something new: cropped, colourful, suggestive, and alive.

So please, sit back, browse through my portfolio, and maybe one of my paintings will find its new home.

I am a member of Victorian Artists Society, Nagambie Artists Group, and Seymour & District Art Society Inc, and an active member of the art community with paintings exhibited on a continual basis.  You can also follow my journey on social media by searching my name Eve Sellars.
