Duette

Description : Supporters of my art know all too well my deep connection to country living and rural lifestyle, and my fondness for painting gum leaves.

I recently painted "Ethereal" which swiftly found its new home. I embarked upon a similar project - Duette - which is two paintings hung together (also known as a diptych).

These paintings were inspired by the leaf litter landscape around my property. They have delicate fractured and feathered brush strokes, giving them a dreamy floating quality.

This is a diptych - 2 paintings, each measuring 40cm x 50cm. They were created using professional artist oil paint on gallery wrapped canvas. The edges are painted as wrap around. There are felt pads in the back corners to protect your wall and strong picture wire attached to D-rings.

HANGING OPTIONS
You can hang this diptych however you like - separately as two paintings, next to each other, or one over the other. In fact, they should be hung in any way which suits your home and your own sense of whimsy. Please contact me to arrange how you would like the wire to be attached. (if I don't hear from you, your new artwork will hang in the position of the first photo on my listing).

SIGNATURE
I am happy to sign the front of one or both paintings, once you have told me which way to hang the art, or where you would like me to sign. Alternatively I can sign the back so that you can decide the hanging perspective once you have received your art. Please allow 2 days for my signature to dry once painted.

IN SITU PHOTOS
I have provided you with some 'in situ' photos so you can see how this painting will lift your room. Feel free to reach out with pictures of your own space and I can virtually insert the painting for you. I'm sure you can imagine how it would look in your work-from-home space or office.

ABOUT ME
Born into a family of musicians, authors, actors, photographers and painters, it was natural that life lead me here, poised at the canvas, brush in hand. I live entirely off-grid at my bushland home in rural Victoria with hubby, dogs and a gorgeously prolific vegetable garden.

I use art to express my immense – well, let's say obsessive – passion for the indigenous landscape, which is easily recognised in my vibrant colourful artworks. Luscious layers of pigment are applied with energy and spontaneity, often switching from brush to palette knife to provide additional texture and depth to my paintings.

COMMISSION REQUESTS
Like something similar in a different size or using different colours? I am really happy to discuss commission requests.
Please note, I do not produce prints of my artwork.

PACKAGING
My paintings are treated with the greatest care throughout their life in my studio and home, or at exhibitions where they may temporarily hang. I am extremely careful to ensure your art does not suffer scuff marks, dents or scratches; and it will be carefully wrapped in bubble-wrap and sturdy cardboard. Gift wrapping is available on request.

Best,
Eve x

Not Currently for Sale Online

Hi there!  I no longer sell my artwork on Gallery247, so please feel free to search for me elsewhere.  Thanks and have a lovely day!

ABOUT ME

Born into an incredibly creative family, it was natural that life lead me here; poised; brush in hand. Lately I have introduced skin tones into my art to further broaden my skills and inspiration.

You will rarely see me paint a landscape in the traditional sense. Instead, I prefer to get up close and personal with my subject, study its form and colour, its character and its flaws, and translate this impression into something new: cropped, colourful, suggestive, and alive.

So please, sit back, browse through my portfolio, and maybe one of my paintings will find its new home.

I am a member of Victorian Artists Society, Nagambie Artists Group, and Seymour & District Art Society Inc, and an active member of the art community with paintings exhibited on a continual basis.  You can also follow my journey on social media by searching my name Eve Sellars.
