Artist Bio - CC Herkes

CC Herkes is a collaborative duo of visual artists creating abstract photographic artworks from drone photography with environmental themes and self introspection.   We are primarily self taught but have come from creative backgrounds in landscape architecture, fashion and one is a classically trained ballet dancer with a commercial drone license.   We strongly believe the Earth is the primal creative artist and we are simply the instruments of interpretation.   It is a highly intuitive process and we never know what will unfold.

My Influences

Inspired by the great works of Fred Williams, John Olsen and the many inspirational indigenous artists of Australia, they have found their own way of artistic expression  through abstract drone photography to speak of the spirituality of the Earth, of our country Australia and hopefully alert and bring attention to the many environmental challenges we all are facing.
