Catani Gardens, St Kilda,

Description : Carlo Catani arrived in Australia from Italy in 1876. In the early 1900’s Catani planned the foreshore works up to Point Ormond and also designed landscaping of the Gardens which came to be known as Catani Gardens. The gardens are beautiful, sitting alongside the beach, with palm trees lining the avenue. During the summer the area hosts a community event nearly every weekend. A tranquil, historic part of St Kilda, perfect for honouring in watercolour. This painting is supplied unframed, with a white mat border and my Certificate of Authenticity. The painting itself is 66cm wide x 46cm high and neatly fits an off the shelf outer frame size of 108cm x 78cm. (If you're able to collect the painting from St Kilda, Melbourne, Australia I can supply it framed).

Welcome to viewing the world through the unique window of watercolour.  I'm driven by the diversity and challenges of nature and the subtlety and drama of watercolour - a wonderful combination!

I create paintings that add joy to your life, or that you're excited to give to someone special.  I'm so lucky to be able to connect with you in this way.

I feel honoured that customers have asked me to capture their holidays, honeymoon, views, experiences, feelings, loved pets and many more subjects.

I specialise in watercolour; I also work in charcoal and pastel and write poetry.  I started painting in England where I grew up and now live in Melbourne Australia; however my subject and client-base is international.

To me, the subtlety and drama of watercolour, its beauty and depth captures the world we live in like no other medium.

Thank you for taking the time to look. Have fun viewing and perhaps choosing your own special watercolour!

Best wishes
