Rendall, Steve. Artwork by Angela Walker | Australia, 1340 Art/International Art Magazine,
I have spent many years as a nurse/midwife and this has intensified my passion for the body, particularly the feminine form. I also feel strongly about equality for everyone regardless of sex, race, skin colour or sexual preferences. My artwork always has a meaning that says something about me whether it’s life as a woman, roles and expectations or emotions from my life experiences. I feel very grateful when people engage with my art and hope it’s inspiring and empowering. The use of colour, iconic Australiana and a quirky sense of drama culminate into something unexpected.
